We have a lovely newly renovated 700 sqft ground floor apartment 1 mile from downtown Homer. We love using this space for friends, family & hospitality. It’s got what you need to stay for a day or two months. Completely separated from the rest of the home this apartment has its own entrance. With queen bed, optional queen air mattress, bathroom/shower, full kitchen with dishwasher & washer/dryer. Technically it would be considered a studio because there is no door between the bedroom and kitchen but feels bigger than that. You can set up an additional queen bed & childrens beds in the space as well (or in the walk in closet). Small for a family but you’re welcome to squeeze in. Just let us know how many you have and we’ll get mattresses/bedding for them. While new, it is simple in that there is no WiFi. But great cell/data service in the area through your phone. With an adapter to play tv via your phone and lots of dvds. We have a big grass yard with a view of the mountains and a fire pit you’re welcome to use.

Sky and Jody were very accommodating of my last minute booking request. Super friendly and very responsive to any questions or needs. I stayed here for 7 weeks for a clinical rotation and it had everything I needed. It took under 10 minutes to get to the hospital and downtown. It was bigger than it looks in the pictures which was a pleasant surprise. As mentioned in the listing, I could definitely hear the kiddos upstairs, but it was never a issue for me. Would definitely recommend it to anyone needing a longer term stay in Homer.
Staying at Sky's place was great. The description matches the stay perfectly. Sky and her family were very friendly, and she was very responsive to my texts. She provided me with everything I asked for, baking powder, a pan, and bear spray. It was really close to downtown home and a quick drive to the Spit. I highly suggest staying here! I never had a cold shower, and the washer and dryer worked great. My hotspot on my phone worked out well for the wifi. I have Verizon. There were maybe a couple of days that it was questionable, but I can't complain for being there for a whole month.
We had a great stay! Everything was exactly as described - was even bigger than we were expecting for the 6 of us! I know the listing mentions kids upstairs so we were prepared but it was a lot louder than expected. Soo, if you’re planning to stay home while you’re visiting and want peace and quiet this probably isn’t the place for you. But again, we were aware in advance so it wasn’t a surprise and our two little ones had meltdowns of their own that may have been heard upstairs (if so, we apologize!). Hosts even provided a pack n play for our youngest - huge help - thank you! For being the cheapest option in Homer during the time of our stay it was well worth it! Thank you!!

We live on the main road that goes through town and have a sidewalk that you can bike into town on. About 3 miles from the base of the spit. Bring your bike if you like.
Plenty of parking - we’d consider an rv space if you needed - for your friends for an extra cost.
If you need to park your truck and trailer/boat we have room for that as well with a wrap around driveway.

Hi, My name is Sky, I was born in washington state and grew up there on the west coast of america doing all kinds of outdoor things like soccer, hiking, biking, climbing, fishing, etc. I'm a pastor at a local church. I do travel quite a bit and have been to 37 countries. pretty laid back and easy to talk to. Usually my wife and I travel to get out of our area and explore the new. Much of the time we just camp but every once in awhile when we've got the money, we go to a B & B.
