Stayed here while visiting our kids at VT and to watch the football game. Easy 20-25 minute drive from campus. Great home with plenty of space for our family! Very cool to sit back on the back porch and see the trains up so close.

Charming spacious home. Great proximity to Va Tech. Sits along the railroad tracks so would be perfect if you like to watch the trains roll by.

We really enjoyed Buckland Cottage and its surroundings. The house is a lot bigger inside and really cool design. Although it gets loud when the trains go by, it’s extremely quiet and peaceful otherwise. The people in the area are also very friendly and helpful. There’s a lot to see and do in the area if you enjoy hiking, biking, or playing in the river. Just be careful of the wildlife. There are a lot of deer, turkeys, raccoons, and other animals on the roads.

Nice home! A little further out than we thought it would be from VT Campus. Trains are definitely loud, but nothing we couldn’t deal with. Walking distance from Palisades was a nice treat!
