If you find yourself traveling around Sao Miguel, don’t miss out on this AMAZING hostel experience. Ilha Hostel is centrally located, within walking distance of all the main attractions in the center. The location is spotless, brand new, well equipped, with an extremely well organized kitchen and bright and beautifully set up rooms. But what makes this place stand out more than any other hostel in the world are Patricia and Helena. They both welcomed me with the brightest smiles I encountered on the island, made me feel right at home and shared their recommendations! Ihla Hostel is a hidden gem and the wonderful ladies who run it the shiniest of the locals I encountered.

Ich war mit allem sehr zufrieden. Konnte meine Woche dort gut genießen. Trotz Schlafsaal hat man gute Privatsphäre dadurch, dass man so Art Kabinen hat. Die Angestellten ware immer sehr freundlich. Frühstück war top.

We stayed in the lady‘s dorm and really enjoyed it. The hostel is very clean and everything is easily accessible from there. I also liked the curtains in front of the bed for more privacy a lot.

I really enjoyed my short stay here, it was clean and located right in the city centre area. Helena was very helpful and kind. She gave me a lot of advice on what yo do and see. I would definitely return if I visit the island again

This hostel is clean, quiet, and centrally located. I appreciated that the sleeping arrangements were as private as they could be while being in the same room as others. Patricia was a wonderful hostess; extremely helpful and friendly. She made sure everyone was provided for.
