Great stay and very peaceful

Evolve/Tooele This is a nicely finished, fairly new place, a basement unit, below the main house. It offers privacy, even with the owner living upstairs. The expansive views of mountains, lake, and the city below are incredible and add to a feeling of remoteness, away from it all! The inside is every bit as clean and nice as the pictures. We came expecting the small kitchenette to serve our simple cooking needs but found it completely inadequate, not as advertised. The listing said we would have a hot plate, cooking utensils, pots, pans, dishes, and flatware, along with a gas grill. Except for the gas grill which didn’t work, the rest weren’t there. It did have the advertised microwave, coffee maker and fridge along with a few plastic utensils. We brought groceries for simple meals, hot dogs, hamburgers, brats and steaks for the grill and eggs for the hot plate for breakfast. We ended up having dinner out and microwaved breakfasts the first few days. To his credit, the owner was responsive and accommodating, trying to get us up and running. He gave us plates and coffee cups and silverware from the main house and the next day brought us a new electric frying pan. The grill was never fixed but needless to say, I became quite adept with that electric pan! Overall this place was fantastic and fulfilled most of our needs very well! We enjoyed it but there was always a cloud of inconvenience hanging overhead at mealtime. Knowing in advance that the kitchen was so much more minimally equipped than even was advertised, I would have brought a camp kit with Coleman stove and all the rest, to set up on the patio. It really is a great place to stay but it may be best to plan coffee and cereal for breakfast and meals out for dinner. Also, it would be smart to arrive in a 4wd!
