Our group of 6 were in town for a family wedding & wanted something comfortable for a 12 night stay- Casa Azul felt like a home, not a vacation rental: comfortable beds, lots of different places to gather & room enough to never feel crowded. The outdoor space is amazing & comfortable- lovely pool long enough for a leisurely lap, comfortable seating & a hammock for lounging- we spent a lot of time on the terrace admiring the view. Marcela was quick to respond to all inquiries & lovely when we met her. Guille was so lovely & generous & a great cook! She took very good care of us & we looked forward to seeing her everyday. We highly recommend staying at Casa Azul.

Our family of 10 stayed at Casa Azul for 4 days, it was absolutely beautiful. The home is centrally located, very walkable to the center of town. The view of the Cathedral was beautiful and the garden area was so peaceful. The house staff was also very hospitable and made sure we felt right at home. We will definitely stay at Casa Azul again. All we can say is WOW! Marcela and the house staff were amazing. Our group enjoyed our time at Casa Azul and we would highly recommend staying with Marcela. Marcela and her husband were so helpful for our group of mostly Americans and even recommended a fabulous chef, Katy for a private dinner experience. Breakfast and lunch were wonderful and we enjoyed the pool area. A huge plus was each room had their own bathroom which was perfect for our group of separate families. The rooms were well accommodated. Thank you, Marcela! 2 thumbs up!

My friends and I were visiting Barichara for a friend's wedding and absolutely loved the charm of Casa Azul. The house has plenty of character with large comfortable beds and beautiful views from the pool overlooking the town and the church. It's in a central location within town and in easy walking distance to restaurants and the main square. The house is spacious and has good relaxation spots around the pool and it is even more beautiful in person. Guille, the housekeeper/ maid was super friendly and cooked us delicious breakfasts each day and made us feel welcome. Marcela the host was very responsive and welcoming. Kitchen was well equipped with filtered water and there were plenty of towels for the pool. Rooms came with fans and small hairdryers (not the most powerful but it's so warm in Barichara that everything dries quickly) The pool is cleaned daily and bird feed is left out in the mornings so you get this amazing experience of seeing all the birds flying down.
