Thanks Lorna and David, for such a special place to enjoy my birthday and the thoughtful personal touches, that went with that. We loved St Bathans and will return. The setting bought out a dormant artistic streak in me that i didn't know existed and inspired Alistair to paint a really stunning painting post. We loved the cottage, especially the fireplace, which is a work of art itself, the spa and the country setting. You were perfect hosts, everything was impeccable, but with that magic quality of making of making you feel comfortable and at home straight away . Highly recommend.
The cottage, was absolutely perfect so peaceful, so inviting, from the open fire to the claw food bath. it was super quiet, no TV, which was awesome, as we read and spent time in the spa. Traveled to st bathans alot, ate there, spend Easter Saturday there too. we loved the dogs, we unfortunately didn't get to meet our hosts as they were away, but they had a lovely housesitter keren.... Also the shower had super pressure... Also we had a wee possum visitor each night which we adored. Will be back... can't wait...
Lorna and David were absolutely brilliant hosts. Very inviting and hospitable. They were waiting to greet us which made the place all the more inviting. The location was absolutely idyllic and so very relaxing. Would thoroughly recommend Lorna and David’s location and them as hosts

Its hard to find words to describe this little piece of paradise . wow wow wow. The cottage is one of the most beautiful places we have stayed. Everything you could ever want or need in a weekend getaway. It's romantic, peaceful, beautiful, cosy and warm. We were treated to an early dusting of snow which just added to the charm Lorna was absolutely gorgeous and had thought of everything to make the stay one to never forget. Everything we needed was there. Thank you so much for creating this perfect getaway. The surrounding area is breathtaking. St Bathans is not to be missed for a drink or dinner at the Pub.

Lorna and David moved here in 2008. Keen to share their slice of paradise, they commissioned the building of Coombes Cottage from an old mud brick garage. Lorna and David love Central Otago's wide open vistas and the uniquely rugged landscape which is sure to captivate you upon your arrival. They enjoy a predominantly outdoors lifestyle; growing their own produce, cycling on the Otago Rail Trail, or rambling around the local hills and valleys.
