The home is utterly charming in a great location very near but not in Reykjavik. The photos don't do it justice. Helga could not have been friendlier and more helpful. She is a gem of a host.

Can't thank Helga and her family enough. We had a wonderful stay in beautiful location in a ridiculously beautiful country. Winter was fun and we are really looking forward to trying summer. Helgas house is well equipped, clean and we felt at home. Her communication before, during and after our stay has been exceptional. Cannot thank her and the family enough. Thank you!

If you're considering Helga's place, don't wait, book it. 5 stars. Helga was responsive, helpful and extremely kind. She gave great recommendations! She answered all our questions (and there were many) and offered suggestions! The house is a home. It's not a sterile Airbnb. Its modern and decorated well. It's also super clean and feels like home away from home. The home is across from the beach. You can watch the waves and it's great for pictures. The kitchen pots, utensils, etc are well stocked. There is everything you need to make dinner, etc. The proximity of the house to everything is awesome. It's about 10-20 minutes (depending on traffic) from everything in downtown, Sky Lagoon, the Fly Over (which was incredible), the Perlin (museum(?)) and all the rest! I quickly and heartily recommend to anyone. It made for the perfect stay. ❤️

Helga was particularly responsive, even when we were in the United States and were very offset in our time zones. She gave helpful advice and was also flexible about our check-in and checkout times. The area is gorgeous and extremely peaceful. We of course did the Golden Circle drive, but we even enjoyed our morning walks and runs just around the neighborhood where you can look at volcanoes, the ocean, sheep, horses, and exceptionally friendly cats. I highly recommend this Airbnb.

What a blessing to stay in this beautiful home at the end of our trip. It was so nice to be able to wash our clothes before heading home. We had a hard time going to bed because the view out the front windows was so beautiful. one night we didn't feel like eating out and it was nice to use the grill.
