Pears and Graces Is it an ultra-cool modern art gallery? Is it a magnificent stately monument? Nope, it's an unapologetically fabulous eight-bedroom home. Situated in splendour on the banks of the river, with the historic Thames Path threading passed its front gate, this Georgian listed building has all the old-time trappings of a superb London townhouse. But step inside and you'll be as surprised as you are blown away — with an astounding display of gallery-worthy art and impeccably chic design that blends masterfully with period interiors to create something timelessly classic, yet excitingly avant-garde. And with neighbours like famed artist William Morris's Victorian pile and Michelin-starred restaurant The River Cafe, you'll be in stellar company. Throw in a picturesque pint at one of the charming, waterside pubs, and a short stroll to Hammersmith for a zippy Tube ride into the city or Heathrow Airport, and we reckon it'll be impossible to enjoy staying anywhere else afterwards. You're welcome. Set over five floors and dripping in plush furnishings, sought-after swirled marble, and state-of-the-art amenities, every room vies for attention. Each element of its immaculate interior has been expertly designed, from striking light installations, to a richly accented palette. Impressive architectural features and delightfully arresting artwork keep you on your toes. Even the hallways are enhanced to perfection, and with their elegant coved ceilings and sweeping spiral stairs, you'd be forgiven for indulging in a Fred Astaire moment (A-stairs, anyone?). Light is accentuated throughout by sash windows and high ceilings, although the living and dining rooms go one further, showcasing swathes of glass and majestic chandeliers. The kitchen and bathrooms are drenched in sleek marbled porcelain, while eight deluxe bedrooms combine sumptuous textures with five-star comfort. Looking for ways to entertain the children so you can maximise wine time on the terrace? May we suggest the spacious playroom, complete with cinematic TV and table football. There's also a handy guest apartment on the lower-ground floor, plus a luxury TV room for those cosy nights in. But the slightest glimmer of sunshine and it's out to the beautifully manicured garden for an alfresco meal. So sit back, relax, and enjoy this one-of-a-kind home as it was designed — in impeccable style. We love... The short answer is — everything! But if we had to narrow it down, it would be the eye-popping fruit sculptures, with their liquid lines and vivid colours, proving elevated design can come with a sense of humour. Bedroom-wise, we love the principal bedroom for its vast dressing room, and the twin room with its matching four-posters, emerald accents, and that exquisite lacquer cabinet. Then there's all the inspired extra flourishes, like the fluorescent, Bowie-esque canvas in the entrance, the Baby Grand piano in the living room, and the gas fire pit in the garden. We could do this all day... There's a double sofa bed in the guest living room to sleep an extra 2 guests. Two of the bedrooms feature trundle beds that pull out to sleep 2 guests each - perfect for children. Even though the Thames Path is on your doorstep, being set back from the river and screened off affords some welcome privacy. There's a large, gated driveway behind the house, with two parking spaces available on request. There are 4 floors with 2 spiral staircases. The lower ground floor includes a large utility room, boasting 3 washing machines and 3 tumble dryers. There are 9 gas fireplaces. The kitchen is impressively equipped with 3 dishwashers, 3 freezers, 2 fridges, 2 ovens, and 2 microwaves. Not to mention our favourite kitchen extras - a warming drawer and wine fridge. Almost every bedroom has Air Con except the two that stay coolest (in the basement and next to the conservatory). A few rooms (not pictured) will be locked with no guest access.
When people think about Hammersmith, they often think of busy highstreets, transport hubs, and a certain unsightly fly-over. But this diverse neighbourhood offers some of the finest riverside walks and tranquil parks in the city – Ravenscourt Park is one fantastic example. It has a host of wonderful river-side pubs too, and for theatre-goers, The Lyric produces some of the best new writing and productions in the UK.

Greetings from the Veeve team! Veeve manage the largest collection of homes to rent for short stays in London since 2011, launching in Paris in 2017. Our rental homes are predominantly privately-owned, lived-in homes in vibrant neighbourhoods. Thanks to our fully managed service, when you stay in a Veeve property you can benefit from the spaciousness, personal style and relaxed feel of a home – but with all the amenities of a hotel. Once a booking is confirmed our Customer Service team will become your main point of contact and get in touch with you to organise your arrival at the property (including airport transfers, upon request); after which our on-the-ground management team will look after all aspects of your stay, with in-stay support available to help with any queries. We have strict cleanliness guidelines for our cleaners and all staff who enter our properties and have reinforced existing cleaning procedures in line with official WHO, British and French government guidance. As always, our team ensure that all properties are cleaned to a professional standard before and after each stay, with increased focus on touch-point cleaning (door handles, kitchen surfaces, kettles, taps etc.). All staff who enter properties will follow the below procedures: - Carry and regularly use alcohol-based hand rub - Sanitise their mobile phones - Focus extra attention when cleaning key touch-point areas (door handles, kitchen surfaces, kettles, taps etc.) - Wear protective gear where appropriate - Wash and disinfect work shoes We might be able to arrange for property viewings, upon request, for stays of over 28 nights. Please be aware once a booking is confirmed you will be required to complete a Rental Agreement and also ID verification via our partners Superhog. This is mandatory for all our stays and in accordance to short lets requirements with Veeve.
