彭布罗克 · 农家仓房 · 1室2床1.0卫 · 可住4人 · Converted Hay-loft with Stunning Countryside Views
Rogeston loft is a stunning hayloft conversion which sits beside the original stone farmhouse. With its own private balcony overlooking a large garden, the sea breeze hinting at the stunning coastline of St Bride's Bay beyond, this is the perfect romantic getaway for two. The comfortable sofa bed allows two extra guests to join the retreat and the large living and dining space is comfortable and contemporary. Rogeston Loft welcomes guests and their dog to this light and lofty accommodation. Enter the property via the balcony area, and head straight into the open plan kitchen, dining and living area. The kitchen has all mod cons, from a wall-mounted oven and microwave to electric hobs, a kettle and toaster, as well as a large fridge and stainless-steel sink and a washer dryer. The dining area is tucked neatly into one corner with windows for beautiful bucolic dinner views. The table seats 4 guests for meals and drinks. There is a large corner sofa in the living area of this bright and airy open-plan space. It seats four comfortably for watching movies on the wall-mounted TV, or two people can stretch out after a day of walking the coast path or sea swimming. The double bedroom consists of a luxurious king-sized bed which can split into two single beds upon request. This spacious room sits beneath the rafters of the converted hayloft and, with two large skylights and two smaller windows, is filled with sunlight and countryside views. Blackout blinds keep the room cool and dark for sleeping, and there’s a bedside table with lamp and wardrobe for storage. The beautiful, modern bathroom has a WC and wash handbasin, a mirror, a heated towel rail, and large walk-in shower. This property is entirely situated on the first floor. The star of this property’s show is the balcony, which is accessed from the open-plan living space. This large space is perfect for evening drinks while watching the sunsets, or morning coffee to take in the distant sea breeze. The balcony has a bistro set and is surrounded by a glass balustrade so as not to interrupt the views over the beautiful green countryside of Pembrokeshire. Descend the stone steps into a large, private garden, with shrubs and flowers all around. In a sunny spot towards the rear of the garden, you’ll find a fantastic outdoor seating area next to a large brazier BBQ, perfect for summer evening meals or for warming yourselves on chillier days. Relax in the hammock with a good book, or take a well-deserved nap in this peaceful setting.
This is a lovely quiet, warm location close to the beaches. The appartment had tasteful decor. We had been advised that two single beds would be prepared but found an unclean double bed which I had to strip. Otherwise, I would recommend this place. Too short a stay.
Great place in a great location. The instructions and local tips were excellent and that part of Pembrokeshire is magic.
Your countryside accommodation is a mere few miles inland from the stunning Pembrokeshire coast. Known for fantastic beaches, beautiful cliffside scenery, and boat trips around its famous islands, Rogeston Lodge is tucked away quietly beside one of the best coastlines in Britain.
Take a walk to nearby Nolton Haven, a small hamlet where you can have a pint at The Mariners pub, a delicious meal at Haven Brasserie, or simply take in the sea air with a stroll on the little sandy cove with views across St Bride’s Bay towards Marloes, some 30-minutes away.
For a larger beach, head a few miles south to Broad Haven. The small promenade has shops, cafes, pubs, and restaurants, as well as excellent parking just off the beach. This is a blue flag beach and is the perfect spot for trying your hand at surfing. Head to New Surf to hire boards and wetsuits and take a lesson you’ll never forget!
Another mile south is Little Haven, a stunning example of Pembrokeshire’s fishing villages. The stone cottages emerge from the folds of the valley that reach down towards the sea, and a beautiful walk past the gorgeous Swan Inn leads to a viewpoint that stretches out to sea. From here, you can see all the way up the beautiful bay towards the peaks of St Davids Head.
St Davids is a must-visit when you come to Rogeston Lodge. Europe’s smallest city packs a real punch, not only due to the vast and impressive red stone cathedral tucked into the valley below. The city may be tiny, but the boutique shops, ancient inns, and seafood restaurants are colourful and lively and draw large crowds in the summer months.
Nearby Whitesands beach is one of the largest and most popular on the peninsula due to its accessibility - park in the car park, next to bathroom facilities and a cafe, rent a beach chair or surfboard and spend the day on this glistening sandy beach, perfect for kids and adults.
Make your way back homewards via the beautiful fishing village of Solva. Known for the colourful bobbing boats in the harbour and the colourful fisherman’s houses that line the cobbled streets, head to Cafe on the Quay for crab sandwiches, or go crabbing yourself off the harbour wall!
Newgale beach is less than 3 miles from your accommodation and is by far the best surfing beach in West Wales. The pebble bank gives way to golden sands when the tide is out, and this impressive beach gives the best waves for watersports. The Atlantic ocean provides waves and wind, which is perfect for kitesurfers.
The dog will love the 2-mile stretch of sand to run around on; this is a great spot if other beaches are crowded in summer as there’s just so much space!
It is recommended that you have a car for the duration of your stay as the property is located in a rural area with no immediate transport routes.
