Kathy’s place was a great spot for our hunting trip. The open layout of the space was nice for spreading out and organizing all our gear. We appreciated the larger refrigerator and all the kitchen items for cooking our own food. The little living room area tucked away from the main area was also nice. The snacks and candy were also a nice touch! We also really enjoyed the decor. We hope to return again soon!

I would give Kathy & Frank 10 out of 5 stars if I could! They were the most friendly and accommodating to me from start to finish. Just the type of people you feel you known your whole life.. getting to know them was a pleasure and I look forward to seeing them again! They expressed their wants to even better accommodate their guests for the future with some great ideas to bring to their property. I mean it when I say you will not be disappointed with your stay at Kathy and Franks. Great people, great place and beautiful area! Best wishes for them in everything they do!

Our group of 4 had an amazing and exceptional stay at Frank and Kathy's place! From the moment we stepped into the guest suite, the clean, light-scented small greeted us. The whole place was clean, up to every corner. The beds were so comfortable and the bathroom was shining clean and spotless! Actually felt like a brand new basement space! It was the basement space of Frank and Kathy's home. Lights are turned on/off by Alexa (don't go looking for a switch just like we did haha!) You can log in to your Netflix acct to watch movies for entertainment, plus there are board games and tourist brochures of the surrounding area. When they say trails, they are really serious about it.You can spend half an hour just hiking their vast trails! Their property's hiking trails are already an excellent fall color viewing opportunity. Gorgeous fall colors all around if you time it right! This place is a must come back. No complaints at all! Thanks Frank for also touring us in your property!

We had a great stay at Fern Creek Retreat! The guest space was set up with all we needed. Kathy went above and beyond with personal touches that helped us feel right at home. Their home is near many trails for hiking, it was an easy drive to Devil’s Lake area which we enjoyed exploring. She even gave us great local recommendations as well. They have a beautiful property with flowers and trails. We’d recommend anyone to stay here. We hope to return one day!

Follow the winding roads to this pastoral location where you will sleep peacefully in the utmost quiet. Instead of a stove, there's an induction cooker as well as a microwave, and a toaster oven. We loved wandering around, collecting various colored leaves and wildflowers. The tree house was great fun (can I move in?). The accommodations are spacious, and very clean. Alexa turns the lights on and off when directed (we spent a few minutes searching for light switches until we were introduced to Alexa).
