We opened the car doors surrounded by the beautiful fragrance of orange blossoms. The grounds are large alongside the river. The house is beautiful restoration of a solid stone ancient building. Ruutz and Sylvia have tasteful reveals of the original construction in the beautiful new interiors. The home is tastefully decorated. Each of the four bedrooms is en-suite. The kitchen is perfect and well equipped. The best quality of the stay is the friendliness of Sylvia and Ruutz. They met us and welcomed all 7 of us throughout. We had a problem with our rental van which Sylvia helped me negotiate with H poor roadside assistance in pouring rain even abandoning their dining plans to do so. The helped arrange a wonderful tour of the Convent with Federico who the family still raves about. They connected us with their neighbor’s son restaurant in a nearby town who treated us as honored guests and magnificent food, including hot stone meat. Wow, what a wonderful stay. A cold April was tough.

Passamos dois dias bem agradáveis em família no local! A Silvia e seu marido são muito simpáticos e sempre disponíveis! O local é exatamente como na foto. Tivemos a agradável experiência de colher azeitonas no pé com os anfitriões! Com certeza voltaríamos ao local!

Desde que hicimos la reserva, Sílvia ha contestado a todas nuestras dudas, una vez en la casa, nos acogieron muy bien. Pendientes en todo momento de cubrir cualquier necesidad o duda. Aunque nos dijo q no sabía el español, durante toda la estancia se esforzó mucho en hablarlo y podías tener perfectamente una conversación. La casa totalmente nueva y con todas las comodidades a nuestro alcance, no faltó de nada, y si faltaba lo teníamos al momento. Ha sido una estancia recomendable 100%. Gracias Sílvia y Ruud por vuestra dedicación y acogida en vuestra casa, un remanso de paz. Si decidimos volver por la zona no dudaremos en repetir experiencia en vuestra casa. Mucha suerte, besos!!

Sylvia and Rude are wonderful hosts and have built a beautiful respite in the wonderful town of Tomar. Everything in the house is new, very well equipped and organized, comfortable and extremely clean. We spent two nights here with five adults and three young children. Loved that all four bedrooms have an attached full bathroom, with an additional half bathroom on the main floor. Also, really enjoyed the large and well manicured private garden - so pleasing to the eye and restful. Plus fun for all in the swimming pool! ❤️
