A hidden gem in Salatiga. Tranquil environment with amazing host

WARNING! Do not stay here! The place was described as a private villa with two bedrooms in the listing, here is a quote: “you will have the whole villa to yourself, including kitchen and a pool”. Additionally it was personally confirmed by the host that the accommodation is private prior to the booking. In reality it turned out to be nothing as advertised. Upon arrival the new rules appeared. Every guest was charged a daily rate so the original Airbnb price quadrupled. This was not mentioned anywhere on Airbnb. It got worse. I was informed that there will be other guests. I asked to clarify the discrepancy with the so called private villa listing. The excuse was the assumption that the guests love hanging out together. The bedrooms are only partially divided, the doors are glass and the facilities are shared. I had to leave and find another accommodation. The host changed the listing afterwards admitting that the original description was false. No refund was given. Avoid at all cost.

Absolutely stunning location, very private house in the middle of the nature , everything made with love and care - we felt in love with the house and with the amazing carved of wood room and stayed even the extra night. Anna has beautiful energy. Her horses as well. I was mesmerized by the incredible natural pool as well with the fishes that you can actually pet. One of the best location we have visited so far in Java in one month travel.

Excellent stay at Havana Horses. Great location in a green and quiet environment. One of the best places in Central Java and certainly in Salatiga for a relaxing and refreshing weekend. Very friendly and helpful owner, good food and very nice Javanese-style, wooden structure accommodation. Feeling fully refreshed after a stay there. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a few days of calm and green! Guillaume Chalamel - France

Een super fijne tijd gehad bij deze lieve familie! Ze kunnen je met van alles helpen en weten veel van natuur en paarden. Het eten is heerlijk vers en Indonesisch. Elke middag en avond kun je kiezen of je alleen of met het gezin mee eet. Het huis, gebouwd in traditionele Indonesische stijl, is prachtig en door de eigenaren zelf opgeknapt en gebouwd! Van uit de tuin wandel je zo het bos/de jungle in. Maar je kunt je ook prima vermaken rondom het natuurzwembad en de tuin. In de avond wordt je vergezeld door kikkers (gezellig!) en insecten, maar er zijn geen ratten zoals in de grote steden van Java. Kortom prachtige plek om helemaal tot rust te komen! P.s. Ik had een yoga retreat genomen en ben daarom veel over m’n lichaam te weten gekomen. De yoga docent luistert goed, bekijkt je lichaam en houdingen nou keurig en geeft je handige tools mee. Lia is een topper!
