Situated on 20,000 m² of land directly by the sea; nature-based, romantic and slightly quirky residential ensemble "Baile Beag" (Gaelic for 'small village') with a main house (fits 4) and two outhouses (fits 2). Original cottages, fantastic views, quiet location, own sea access (rocky beach), renting only en bloc and for guests with respect for house and nature. Main house for up to 4 people. Groundfloor: living/dining area with fireplace and conservatory. Radio/CD player. No TV or Wifi. Upstairs: 2 bedrooms with bath/shower/WC; 1 queen-size bed, bunk bed with 2 beds. Donkeyhouse (1st outhouse): attic with 1 bedroom with queen-size bed; groundfloor with small entrance area with tea-making facilities, bathroom with bathtub & shower, WC and washing machine. Cowhouse (2nd outhouse): Spacious living room / homeoffice in the attic (reasonable mobile data reception); workshop downstairs. Sea view from all rooms, conservatory with panoramic view, terrace and garden furniture, outdoor fireplace/barbecue area, permanently installed outdoor washing line, outdoor benches, and picnic area by the sea.

Il s'agit d'un lieu unique, un petit havre de paix qui vous fait vous sentir bien dès le premier instant. Le logement est chaleureux et la vue du site est incroyable. On sent que l'endroit est chargé d'histoires, et que le lieu a vécu depuis plusieurs générations. Gabriel a toujours été disposé à communiquer avec nous et nous a donné toutes les informations utiles dont nous avions besoin. Je recommande vivement cet endroit!

Wir haben uns in der Unterkunft sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Blick vom Wintergarten aufs Wasser war einfach traumhaft. Genaue Beschreibung zu allem, was man wissen muss und ein super Kontakt mit Gabriel runden das Angebot ab. Wer Ruhe und Erholung sucht ist hier genau richtig!!!
This place is perfect for a quiet get away. The location is absolutely beautiful and having 3 little buildings to hang out in is a lot of fun. It was so peaceful. We had a truly wonderful holiday.

Beautiful hilly landscape. Sometimes rough, but also very mild and sunny sea climate.
Nearest neighbour approx. 800 m away. Next village: Adrigole, about 5 km away. The closest town, Glengariff, is approx. 9 km away and offers a small supermarket, many restaurants and cafes. It marks the beginning of the famous travel and tourist route, the Ring of Beara. Nearby nature parks and sculpture gardens, golf courses, horse riding, folk dancing and music events.
Larger towns in the vicinity: Bantry and Castletownbere, each about 30-45 min by car.

Born and bread in Germany, lived in China, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and God knows where else, I have now found a home in the unlikeliness of downtown Bonn, Germany. I am working as a Professor in tourism management and often wondering why chefs cook the way they do and what this has to do with sustainable tourism, missed opportunities for local development and potential cultural disruption in small island developing states...
