The municipality Tapiramutá is located in Chapada Diamantina and offers an authentic rural, cultural and natural experience. It harbors an interesting sociobiodiversity as it has a strong indigenous - Payaiá - influence, and nears the Quilombola community in Dioclécio and Requeijão no Brongo.
Visit a variety of artisanal producers of local specialities to soak up the culture and spoil your taste buds: Dona Zenaide's clay ceramic handicrafts, Manel's farm as the reference of Coalho and Mussarela cheeses, Capim Branco's flour mills which produce tapioca, in addition to other agroecological partners like 3 Irmão, Seu Nuca and Sítio Arcanjo.
The region also offers a rich and diverse natural experience. Tapiramutá is located in the Paraguaçu River basin and surrounded by several springs. At the farm you can indulge yourself with bird watching. Nearby you can visit archaeological sites and marvelous raw waterfalls like the Natural Monument of Cachoeira do Ferro Doido, Cachoeira Domingos Lopes, Cachoeira do Ventura. The main festivity celebrated in the town is São Pedro. As it offers a full program of local musicians surrounded by colourful flags and straw hats, it mobilizes its entire population and a large number of visitors.

If you want to travel in the neighbourhood a car is highly valuable. Nevertheless, if you prefer a calm stay in the farm without too much travel, there is a bus stop (Tapiramutá) in front of the farm.
