Just spent an idyllic week at Marie’s AirBnB. It’s a historic building filled with character and decorated thoughtfully and artistically to feel light and airy. The views are beautiful and I spent many a happy hour at the desk overlooking the river. Having visited this region before and loved it, we were happy just to soak up the village ambience. For art lovers, Montsoreau chateau is right next door and we were also recommended Chateau d’Oiron- a short drive away and a fascinating gallery and reimagining of a grand chateau. Fontevraud is also well worth a visit. Good food and drinks are within walking distance and Marie (and our neighbours) were so helpful and friendly. A lovely stay - thank you.

The town is truly beautiful, boasting a boulangerie where we enjoyed fresh bread and croissants each morning. Additionally, a small supermarket and butcher shop provided everything we needed for our few days here. The historical building itself is a gem. It's incredibly spacious and nicely decorated, giving it a unique and welcoming ambiance. The enclosed and secure garden was a real bonus, especially since we brought our dog along. We felt completely at ease, knowing she could wander in and out freely. Marie, our host, was very friendly and responsive.

We had a fantastic week staying at the Palais de Senechal. The house is lovely, very spacious with everything you could need, great views out over the river and stayed nice and cool in the warm weather. The fully enclosed garden is great for enjoying a bbq and a bit of stargazing. The village is lovely - peaceful and with everything you need, we enjoyed charcuterie and wine at Chez l’Artiste and meals at Ververt. Marie gave us a very warm welcome and made us feel at home straight away. Would highly recommend and hope to be back soon.

Excellente location dans une maison du XV ème siècle avec une très belle vue sur la Loire. Proche de nombreux sites touristiques et de vignerons renommés à recommander
