This Moroccan Andalusian house was built 140 years ago in the “medina”, old city, of Tetouan and completely restored in 2021 (by someone who grew up in the house), respecting the structure and style of the original dwelling. A covered inner courtyard, comfortable sitting room, fully equipped kitchen, work space, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and rooftop terrace overlooking the city of Tetouan, an UNESCO World Heritage Site. Besides modern comforts, the house is furnished in a very personalized style reflecting both its traditional Moroccan origins and the period of the Spanish Protectorate in the mid-20th century. The house is situated close to the edge of the “medina”, probably the most authentic in Morocco, with easy access to all amenities, vibrant fruit and vegetable sellers, bakeries, cafés, parking, as well as the “new” city. And at the same time, is tucked away at the end of a calm and secure side street. Tetouan is strategically placed in the north of Morocco – close to both the Mediterranean beaches and the Rif Mountains. Tangier, Asilah, Tanger-Med, Ceuta and Chefchaouen are only a few hours away.
