A unique self-contained flat with panoramic views over the Thames at Hampton Court, suitable for a couple or single and available for longer lets of up to one month. Situated on the upper deck of a modern floating home, with all mod cons as standard, the flat has a spacious living room / kitchen, together with compact bedroom and en-suite bathroom, and is accessed via its own stair-case. The island where the houseboat is moored is easily accessible via its own road bridge, with safe parking. The flat is tastefully furnished, with all mod cons, including wifi, and with three sets of French windows, gives a strong sense of being above the busy river. Central heating and hot water are gas-powered, as is the hob. Kettle and toaster are provided, together with tea and coffee etc., and a microwave, washing-machine and fridge, along with towels and a change of bed linen, a hair-dryer and bathroom toiletries. There are two wardrobes with hangers. The flat has no television but guests are encouraged to bring wifi equipment (laptops, tablets etc) to make use of the strong wifi signal.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Peter's flat on the river Thames. Peter greeted us upon our arrival and we found him to be a wonderful host. The flat was well-equipped with a washing machine, stove, microwave, fridge, and essential kitchen supplies. Coffee and milk were also provided for our use. The flat is located right on the river, providing us with a scenic, peaceful view. It is within walking distance of Hampton Court Palace and offers easy access to Richmond and other local communities. We thank Peter for a wonderful stay, and this flat comes with our highest recommendation.

The flat occupies the upper deck of a houseboat moored on an island on the Thames in SW London. Opposite is Bushy Park, an extensive and diverse facility, ideal for walking, running and cycling. A mile downriver is Hampton Court, with excellent bus services from the island and regular trains into central London. Nearby towns include Kingston (two miles away), Twickenham (three) and Richmond (five).
Parking is straightforward with extensive free parking on the island. Buses to Hampton Court, Kingston, Twickenham and Richmond leave regularly from bus stops close to the island bridge. Regular trains depart from Hampton Court (a mile away) and Hampton (a mile and a half) for Waterloo, a trip of around half an hour. Major roads near the island include the A3, M3 and M25.

自我介绍
I bought the mooring for this houseboat in 2004 and designed the boat with the help of an architect over 2005. The boat was built by a local boatyard and delivered to the mooring in July 2006. The flat was occupied by a wonderful tenant for the next eleven years, and is now available for shorter lets through this website. For most of the last twenty years I taught English and Games at a local boys' school before taking early retirement in 2020.
