Welcome to The Woolly Bugger Inn! Our cabins, tiny homes, and suites are tucked into the woodsy Big Thompson Canyon just minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park and downtown Estes Park. Chipmunk is a cozy tiny home with a lofted queen bed, full kitchen (with a compact, bar-style dining area), couch, full bath (shower only), and a deck space with a propane fire pit, gas grill, and chairs. Please note the lofted sleeping quarters are accessed by a staircase and require some nimble maneuvering to get into bed. We think it’s extremely cozy, but please only book if you're on board with some ducking (see photos)! About The Woolly Bugger Inn: We’re nestled along a quarter-mile private stretch of the (highly fishable!) Big Thompson River, with plenty of space to spread out and relax on our forested, five-acre grounds. The vibe here is cozy, laid-back, and old-school, with a mix of historic rental quarters and newer, more modern dwellings to choose from. We’re five minutes from downtown Estes Park and ten minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park.
This was the most thoughtfully designed space I’ve stayed in. It’s small as described, but very charming and surprisingly functional. The way the towels are folded, the design choice of all the kitchenware and bath accessories, plus the fire pits and hammocks; very well done. The host was also very responsive and proactive. We loved this place. I would definitely stay here again.
We enjoyed the space - great location and beautiful area right by the river. Cabin was new and updated, perfect for a staycation for us.
We loved the tiny home, it was warm, very clean, and had everything we needed. Loved the coffee, comfortable bed upstairs and sleek, modern bathroom. We loved falling asleep, listening to the river and the cozy propane fireplace made this home extra special. We definitely recommend all of the cabins they have listed.
Beautiful tiny home! The location is right next to the river and so quiet. There are chairs next to the river for relaxing. The cabin itself is cozy but plenty spacious for two people. We used the fireplace which was perfect for a cold day. You are still very close to town with lots to do there. The hosts were so kind and helpful. We had no issues with checking in. Everything was seamless. I highly recommend!
We’re located about 4 miles east of downtown Estes Park and about 8 miles east of Rocky Mountain National Park. With easy access right off Highway 34, our grounds are private and all-natural, with our own cliff features, mountain vistas, wildlife visitors, forests of ponderosas, Doug firs, and aspens, and a winding (and highly fishable!) stretch of the Big Thompson River.

We find that guests are best able to explore Estes Park and the surrounding areas by vehicle. Ride-hailing services are sparse in the area, but be sure to check out the Estes Park shuttle bus services during your stay.

I grew up in a tiny B&B 9,500' above sea level in Keystone, Colorado. Sharing experiences in a beautiful outdoor destination with guests from around the globe (and mandatory ski lessons through elementary school) has stuck with me throughout my life. My wife Krissy and I now call Whitefish, Montana home and travel frequently to National Parks and public lands throughout the country with our dogs Gooby and Kumba.
