斯托克布里奇(Stockbridge) · 整套公寓 · 2室3床2.0卫 · 可住4人 · 2 bedroom garden apartment in Stockbridge
Stylish, main-door apartment set on the lower ground of a Grade A listed Georgian townhouse in the lovely Stockbridge neighbourhood of Edinburgh. From the beautiful garden crescent a private entrance leads to a spacious and restful space with plenty of room to spread out. A private courtyard garden is perfect for those warmer summer days. Wonderful cafe’s, restaurants, stores and green spaces are right on the doorstep while central Edinburgh is within easy walking distance. There are two bedrooms, one very large en-suite double with a king-size bed and an additional twin room. There is a separate bathroom (tub with shower above). The living/dining room and kitchen overlook the private courtyard garden to the rear of the apartment. Please note: This is a lower-ground, garden level apartment and the front door is accessed via a flight of steps down from pavement level. There are no steps to access the garden at the back of the property. Please note: If there are only two guests then unless specifically requested we will lock off the twin bedroom. If you would like use of the twin room please add one or two guests to the booking - we will make up one or both of the single beds accordingly.
Pierson’s flat was very well appointed, easy to get to via bus or taxi, had a lovely back patio, etc. we were very impressed and would recommend to anyone looking to stay a bit off the city center. He responded very quickly to any questions and was thoughtful in checking in on our arrival to ensure all was as expected. 5 stars, would book again.
What a fabulous apartment, spotlessly clean, stylish, understated - a felt very calming, with top quality furniture , kitchen and other fittings. 15A St Bernard’s crescent is in the centre of Stockbridge in a very quiet area, the rear garden is a real treat for the centre of Edinburgh , it’s lovely to sit out there with drinks at the end of a busy day! Pierson has been a perfect host, thank you!
This is a gorgeous flat: beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We felt at home straight away and there was plenty of space for our family of four plus doggie. We loved having an ensuite, leaving the main bathroom to our teenage girls. The pretty, private garden was a bonus and we enjoyed using it for an Easter egg hunt. We walked into town on Easter Sunday - a scenic 15 minute walk. Access to the flat was very easy, with simple instruction to follow. Thanks Pierson for a great stay. We'd definitely recommend this accommodation.
Lovely stay in a wonderful area of Stockbridge! Beautifully furnished and comfortable beds, lovely stocked kitchen. Highly recommend Piersons home.
Our stay at Pierson's apartment in Stockbridge was the best airbnb experience we have had as a family. What a place! It is so well appointed, clean, comfortable and warm in a stunning crescent of historic buildings. It's in a quiet street, close to the city for an easy walk in. Pierson has gone to so much trouble to provide great quality facilities and also to be incredibly helpful. We had a super experience and cannot recommend Pierson's place enough, thank you!
Stockbridge is the perfect base within the city, a mini-village of a neighbourhood, chock-full of bistros, deli’s, artisan and vintage stores, cut through by the very pretty ‘Water of Leith’ (walk the riverside path to Dean Village and onto the Museum of Modern Art ) and just five minutes from the beautiful Botanic Gardens. Bordered by the New Town, it’s a wonderful stroll to the city-centre and the heart of the Old Town beyond. Buses (a minute's walk away) can also take to you most anywhere in the city.. If you visit on the weekend don't miss Stockbridge's wonderful Sunday farmer's market!
The apartment is 20 minutes walk from Waverley and Haymarket stations and a 15/20 minute taxi ride from Edinburgh Airport.
If you're driving plentiful parking (on street, paid) is five minutes away - do ask if you'll be bringing a car.
Free on-street parking at weekends from Friday 5.30pm to Monday 8.30am
Walking is the easiest way to explore the area although there are buses nearby that can take you to other parts of Edinburgh. Try the Lothian Buses journey planner for getting around by bus or tram.
Parking: If you bring a car then at the weekends (after 5.30pm on a Friday until Monday morning 8:30am) there is free parking on St Bernard’s Crescent (where the apartment is located) and the surrounding streets.
During the week, it’s residents’ parking on most of the Crescent; there are some pay and display bays in the vicinity (within 1 mins walk, the other side of St Bernard’s Crescent, Dean Park Street, Cheyne Street, Danube Street, Dean Terrace) but as these are a maximum 4 hour stay we would suggest parking 10 minutes walk away on East Fettes Avenue (full details in our local area and house guide).
East Fettes Avenue: The first section of this road is 4-hour limited but beyond this is 9 hours (i.e. the whole day and you do not need to move your car even if you are there for multiple days.) The cost is £8/9 per day and you pay via the Ringo app. This is what our visiting family do as they generally don’t use the car once in the city.
自我介绍
Hi, I'm Pierson. Originally from the Wirral, I was based in London for many years (via stints in Paris, Odessa and Moscow) and am now fortunate to call Edinburgh home. While I love city life I also enjoy getting away from it all, most especially to the wilds of Scotland and Wales where the majestic landscapes never fail to enthral me.
