Finding the location was very difficult as I didn't receive directions before I started my trip to Crucita. The place is truly remote and requires having a car if you do not want to take the bus everyday to get food. Although the owner offered to have a fish dinner made for me that was delicious and was $5. The accommodation was clean, however the room was a little bare. The bathroom was great and very clean with a huge shower and bathtub. The wifi worked very well. The pool was pleasant but small and did not feel very private due to close neighbors. The best part was the proximity to the beach, but I didn't swim because the waves were a bit too rough. Overall, a good place if you want to be removed from hustle and bustle for a few days or longer, not a good place for just 1 or even 2 nights because of location. Also, note that breakfast is not included, which I think decreases the value of the listing, I've stayed in places for much less that include a identical breakfast.

After living in Ecuador for the past 8 months, I had only been to the coast once before. I love how Cabanas Vistamar was located outside of a small town so that I could have the most relaxing experience and be able to spend time with my family. It was my parents first time to Ecuador and our experience made it feel like they were close to home. It was a relaxing friendly environment.

Alfonso and Guirlene were amazing hosts! Cabanas Vista Mar was a little hard to find, but it was well worth it! If the beach isn't your thing, there is also a beautiful pool. The room faced the ocean and the waves were all you could hear. Beautiful location and truly gracious hosts!

We had a wonderful time staying at this location. Being right next to the beach and having a great outdoor space with palm trees and hammocks was so peaceful and relaxing. This room was clean and bright. Guirlene and Alfonso went above and beyond while we were there, from answering our questions about the area to arranging taxi pickups for us. We would definitely stay here again if ever back in Crucita.
