I live in Panama and have stayed in dozens of AirBnB properties in the country over the past six years. Evie's condo at Playa Bonita tops the list. It's close to Panama City, 15 minutes away across the Bridge over the Canal (but can be MUCH longer trip during rush hours). But while the city is craaaaazy, Playa Bonita is a peaceful oasis. The beach is excellent -- the closest sand beach to Panama City (which has no beaches). The condo looks just like the photos -- maybe better. It's spacious and hospital-operating-room clean. There are views through large windows over the ocean and toward the mountains to the north. There's a small balcony with fantastic views over the Westin Resort and the beach. Further out are Taboga Island and ships waiting to cross the Canal. The building has a front desk with helpful attendants, and on-site parking. There are restaurants in the Westin that are open late. Best to buy your groceries before you arrive; there's a nearby market but it's hard to get to.

Arriving to apt, we immediately went to open the blinds to see the magnificent view. Unfortunately, the windows were filthy inside and out. Evie told us owner refuses to replace even though it causes water and fog inside the windows. Some places look like dirty hands slid down the inside. Blinds were falling bc dry rotted hardware. A window in BR2 was open and would not close. No air in BR b made it uncomfortably hot bc It’s 70-90° with no ventilation. The maid got it closed in about 20 minutes bc It was Missing handle. Lastly, the pictures posted were NOT of the unit. Not one item of furniture. They posted views out of other apartments, likely bc the windows are better in other units. The maid/PM took cart of the cleaning supplies that were on cart. We brought own gain pods/ finish tabs. Options given were go across town or to take a much smaller apt/ less view. I never asked for free.I declined discount. We found another apt, same building, paying more but is as described.

The photos do not do the place justice. It's absolutely beautiful! The place was super clean. There were minor issues such as a power breaker being out which impacted the WiFi on my first day. However, the property manager was very responsive and resolved the issue quickly. She was also very kind and gave us some local spots to try. A book/ list of local restaurants, bars, grocery stores would be helpful. Beach access and access to the Pearl Club are perfect. The front desk staff are also very professional, friendly, and helpful. Overall, it was an amazing stay. And, I do plan on staying here again in Panama.

We have stayed at Casa Bonita many times and it is always great. The apartment was excellent. Very well equipped, very clean and stunning views. We would definitely stay here next time.
