This charming studio guest house has amazing 180-degree views of the Sutter Buttes, Sacramento Valley and the Coastal Range beyond. Located on 5 acres at the end of a private country road near historic Auburn, we are "above the fog and below the snow", offering the perfect tranquil getaway. We are in the center of Placer County's Wine and Ale Trail. Hidden Falls Park is 1 mile away with 30 miles of hiking and biking. Golf, skiing, river rafting, and Lake Tahoe are also close by. We are the last house on a private road with a half dozen, 5-acre parcels. It is a safe and quiet neighborhood. Here you can enjoy the sounds of birds, geese, coyotes and wild turkeys as you watch the sun set on the distant coastal mountain range. This space is decorated in a clean, contemporary style, with dimmers on every light switch and a portable Bluetooth speaker to set the perfect ambiance. The guest house is separated from our main house by a 2-car garage to afford you complete privacy and there is a well-stocked kitchen for all your cooking and baking needs. Zero threshold entry, zero threshold shower, grab bars, fold down shower seat and ample door openings makes this space suitable for anyone with mobility issues.

As usual, an outstanding, serene environment in which to spend some time. Gorgeous sunsets, beautiful view of the valley, nearby farm animals, just lovely. Tre Pazzi restaurant in Auburn a must!
RUNNERS! I have a secret to share...this is THE spot if you're going to Auburn for Western States, or Canyons (or anything within a respectable driving distance). Desiree and Tom are impeccable hosts and some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. Their place was the perfect respite leading into a race, and there's something about seeing gorgeous sunrises over the valley, and full moons at night that made the stay extra special. I cannot say enough good things about my stay and really encourage you to book if you're lucky to be in the area.

Beautiful area, very quiet and peaceful. Accommodations for intimate for 2 people. Lots and wineries in the immediate area and breweries a little further out.
Desiree and Tom are lovely, generous, friendly people. The place is thoughtfully appointed with everything a person could need. The view is amazing— you can see all the way across the valley to the coastal mountain range— 70 plus miles. Awe inspiring sunsets every night. A lovely private outdoor area with comfortable chairs and a table. You don’t want to miss this!

We are an active retired couple living on 5 acres in Auburn, CA. Our property has the most amazing views of the Sutter Buttes, Coastal range, and gorgeous sunsets. We enjoy sharing this with our guests. I love to garden and during the summer and fall months often have fresh fruit and vegetables to share with guests.
