I booked this for my parents. The location in Bailgate uphill is unbeatable. The house is spacious and very recently renovated. Highly recommended.

A really stunning and deceptively large cottage in the perfect location (we could hear the cathedral bell ringers practising for an hour on our last night, which was just wonderful). Lucy responded to queries rapidly and had thought of just about everything - including adding baby gates and a travel cot for us, which made our stay so much easier. The shutters in the main bedrooms weren’t as light eliminating as the description implied, but it didn’t affect us too much and Lucy said she will address this. Otherwise it was a perfect stay. The photos don’t do it justice - the bedrooms feel hotel quality, even the two singles, and the quiet snug off the living room is so lovely for a bit of peace from the kids! Hope to return one day!

What a find! A lovely, central place to stay. Great for our group and perfect for where we wanted to be. Yes, Steep Hill is extra steep but, Uber! Thanks to Lucy for being responsive to our queries and for a lovely place to stay. It is great to have somewhere that you can all sit in a lounge together and also sit at a table to eat together. Just what we wanted.
