Villa Woodway is a beautiful estate bungalow, about 12kms from Chikmagalur town, in the midst of nature with all the old-world charm you'll need. It's the perfect place to just laze and unwind, so quiet and peaceful. The bungalow is tastefully designed, extremely well maintained and kept spotless, the actual experience was better than the pictures. The staff were very kind and helpful. They served yummy local/traditional food for all meals in their dining area just a few metres outside the bungalow. They even set up a bonfire and served us hot pakodas in the evening! The bungalow is in a coffee estate and you absolutely must not miss their awesome coffee (so awesome that we just had to buy some to take back). The hosts Susmitha and Shreedev were easy-going, extremely friendly and very helpful with arranging activities and letting us know of places nearby that we could visit. We had a great time meeting and chatting with them. We will definitely visit Villa Woodway again!

Susmitha and Shreedev are great hosts, very helpful and friendly. Their house is straight out of a dream surrounded by 200 acres of coffee estate, scenic, up on the hill. The interiors are beautifully done, retaining the old-world charm with a touch of modern. I have visited them several times in the past and have always found them to be wonderful hosts. The food served is authentic local cuisine and a treat to the taste buds. This is one of the few homestays which is up on the hill so it's cooler and makes for a perfect vacation spot in the summers where most of the surrounding places have rising temperatures. I would strongly recommend this place for a quick and refreshing getaway from the city. Can't wait to be back here again! 😄

The Woodway homestay is by far the best we have stayed at. The hosts, Sushmita and her husband Shreedev were simply amazing. Their heritage home, which is with the 3rd generation now has it's old world charm. They have kept the fine balance of retaining the history of the place and yet have all the modern amenities that a traveller would want. The place has been tastefully done up and is luxurious. We had a blissful 2 days, with great weather and awesome food. We were constantly fed, and washing it all down with coffee from their estate. We walked inside the estate, chaperoned by the host Shreedev, and saw this beautiful 100+ year old Dhoop tree (canarium strictum). Walking around the estate is a must to take it all in and build the appetite for the next meal!! We are surely going back here soon!
