This is a place with heart. What you go here for, is the PEOPLE. We made some wonderful friends, our guides were delightful, funny and smart, and I very much hope to see them again in my life. The con is that 70usd is a bit steep. The price is low compared to the many luxury hotels in the area, but it’s still quite high for what you get room-wise.

I would like to thank Michel and his team for our amazing experience here. We felt connected to nature, the beautiful surroundings and the local people, who were all very welcoming. We had delicious meals everyday and felt taken care of by the whole team, who became our friends. We recommend doing the scenic walk that they offer, which allows you to explore the beautiful area! We did the fun and challenging hike on Bisoke Volcano. The team helped us with booking the activity, arranging a driver and they even packed a lunch for us. Rooms are simple and authentic. A good place to stay to combine outdoor activities with great service and good conversations.

Die Unterkunft die eher Hotel als Airbnb ist, war ein tolles Erlebniss. Service und Personal war ausgezeichnet und unvorstellbar freundlich und hilfsbereit. Auch wurde uns bezüglich Aktivitäten alles bereitgestellt und ermöglicht (teilweise gegen Aufpreis). Das Zimmer war sehr einfach, etwas dunkel und kalt. Da wir uns aber hauptsächlich in den Gemeinschaftsbereichen aufgehalten haben kaum ein Problem. Dafür hat die Aussicht auf die Vulkane und den Nationalpark überzeugt und auch die nähe zum Ellen De Generes dian Fossey Zentrum.

Das Guesthouse in Kinigi ist traumhaft gelegen. Man genießt das Frühstück mit Blick auf die Vulkane und Michel und seine Mitarbeiter machen wirklich alles, um den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu machen. Das Zimmer ist einfach, aber das gesamte Guesthouse sehr nett gestaltet.

Michel & his team welcomed me so warmly. Beyond friendly I felt right at home. We had a great time The location is so spectacular especially the view of all the volcanoes I could spend my whole there. Lots of activities and lovely walks to do around the area. The accommodation was simple, exactly what I was looking for. Delicious local meals, Especially the peanut soup. Michel is very helpful and helped me organize vehicle transfers to the park headquarters & also to the airport. This was the best cultural experience & very authentic
