We have had hundreds of guests visit and through this have developed a standard for the experience we would like to give visitors. As we live far from the house, we will not offer cleaning or clean textiles, as this will require too much of our time and radically increase the rental price. We ask that you accept this before booking. And we very much hope that when you leave, you will give a little of yourself back to this wonderful place, which hopefully has given you good memories. That way, you will be a good host for the next guest, and we can continue to rent out LakeView the way we want. All you have to do is follow the house manual carefully. You receive it when booking and it is also offered as print in the house. We will also send you a series of short messages before your stay, to make sure they are not overlooked. Some guests have found parts of the information redundant, but we unfortunately have to admit that it is necessary in certain cases, as problems or damage to the house otherwise arise. The information is also your guarantee that LakeView will be at its absolute best when you arrive. If you are dissatisfied with the slightest thing, please say so immediately after arrival, so that we can rate the previous guest and find a solution. Sincerely, The LakeView Owners
We had the most peaceful and relaxing stay in Martin’s beautiful cabin. The view over the lake is stunning, and the place is well equipped and cosy. The nature in the area is incredible. The check-in and out instructions, plus the cleaning requirement can be a little bit cumbersome but overall it’s worth it to maintain and enjoy this lovely place.
We, a group of four, embarked on an extended weekend getaway and had some truly fantastic days at Martin's cottage. The house is very secluded, offering plenty of privacy in lush green surroundings. There's a fire pit, a bathing jetty by the lake, and a sauna, all of which greatly enhance the experience. Inside, there's a spacious kitchen-dining area with cozy seating where you can enjoy views of the lake. The kitchen had everything we needed. Additionally, there are many great hiking opportunities in the area. It's no problem to bring your own bedding, sheets, etc., and to clean up afterward. Everything works quite well in general, and Martin has provided a very detailed manual with instructions and recommendations. Highly recommend to visit, and we'll definitely be back.
Tucked away in the peaceful embrace of the Swedish woods, Martin's charming cottage offers a serene escape from the hustle of daily life. Perfect retreat for relaxation with friends or family ! Clear and extensive instructions make settling in easy. If you are unfamiliar with cottage living or not a seasoned cottager, you might feel a little bit overwhelmed with the extensive instructions but Martin is always available if you have any questions.
Distance from Copenhagen: Ca. 2 hours by car.
LakeView Cabin is right in the middle of the forest. Every walk/hike in the immediate area is beautiful and genuine Swedish nature with rocks, boulders, lakes, rivers and many types of trees and plants. Fishing is not allowed in the lake by the house, but there are opportunities in other lakes.
You can walk anywhere in the forest, just be respectful of houses and properties and be very careful if you leave the roads and paths. Remember, it is not allowed to light a fire in the forest.
