The views from the porches were awesome. We had everything we needed there and even a good dog! Loved the place would definitely go back

Nichi was a gracious and kind host, the property is absolutely fantastic and we wished we could've stayed longer. It gave us the opportunity to to completely relax and immerse ourselves in the beautiful wild nature that Dominica has in abundance. We would go back in a heartbeat. Tips: 1. You need a vehicle to really discover Dominica, we had a Toyota Rush 4x4 - completely adequate for the roughest/ steepest of roads, just take your time. 2. Whichever direction your arriving from, DON'T take the Kalinago road over the Pagua river/ just south of Marigot (loads of road improvements taking place, which is obviously good, but for now its awful for locals and tourists alike). Take Horseback Ridge road instead, turn off near Concord School and Ma Raffos is on the way (great food/ lovely woman). 3. If you haven't arranged for a cook, stock up on what you need grocery-wise in Roseau, local minimarts have very limited stock/ choice. 4. Go to Eezee Side Cassava Delicacies, delicious!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Ayahora. It was everything that we had hoped for and more. The house is huge, private and beautifully finished with all the amenities we could need. The views from the decks are incredible and the sound of the sea is incredibly relaxing. The house is surrounded by a garden with coconut palms and fruit trees. A short walk from the house is Kalinago Barana Aute, interesting to learn of Kalinago's history in a beautiful location that also offers a lovely waterfall. Host Nichi was very helpful in planning and helped us arrange transportation to and from the villa and was kind enough to take us on a tour to some of the waterfalls and sites. He is very knowledgeable of the island and it's history and a really good person. Glad that we chose that area to stay in for our first visit to Dominica as it really offers the experience of the true Caribbean, something that is getting harder to find these days. Highly recommend it!

Nichi’s place was beautiful, extremely comfortable and so peaceful. Once you figure out the shortcut over the mountain the island really opens up. Dominica is a unique Caribbean island with much to be explored. We will be back and will definitely stay at Ayawasi again!

Nichi was an amazing host after arriving late waiting at the property waiting for us. The Kalinago people are charming and the property which is in the reserve overlooks beautiful scenery, and the sea with the sound of crashing waves. We had open windows day and night, no mosquitoes. It was very tranquil. The property is large and spacious and very relaxing with everything you need, including good internet. To enjoy your stay make sure you find the alternative route to avoid the map route taking you on the construction road. It’s up the hill from Nichi’s turn right and 50 Yards after the police station take the concrete track over the top. Thank you Nichi. We had a wonderful week.
