We were a group of four friends who stayed at Melina’s Airbnb for one night. Our check-in process was a bit stressful because the unit number on the listing was incorrect. A few issues encountered during our stay: There were a number of flies and mosquitos in the unit. The insects might’ve entered the unit through a small gap that remains between the double front doors even when they’re fully closed. The bathroom unfortunately smelled like sewage. When we contacted Melina she immediately dropped off an air freshener that helped, but the smell returns so we minimized using the washroom. Overall for the price this is a decent Airbnb and Melina was as helpful as she could be. She was also kind to let us check out later so we can return after a wildlife tour! Great location close to Carara National Park and a view of the gulf. But we did feel the issues above worth sharing.
