Laura and Will were very responsive to queries and we appreciated being able to check-in early. Cartws is perfectly situated for the city centre and Pontcanna’s cafes and restaurants but also in a very quiet location. The upstairs living and dining area was very warm & welcoming and well equipped. Downstairs bedroom & bathroom were rather cold and a bit damp. Having said that after 2 days the place had warmed up. The bed was very comfortable! It suited our needs very well.

Very homely and cosy for 2. Great that we could bring the dog, and great outdoor space on the doorstep. Great location for local shops and an easy walk into the city. We would use again.

We arrived late and had some concerns about the place. Laura and Wil were fantastic at communicating with us and got everything sorted in good time. You can tell they take great pride in the property and it really is a nice space!

This was our 3rd visit so it really feels like a home-from-home. The location is brilliant, near the park for the dog, and near dog-friendly cafes and pubs for us. A lovely walk through parkland gets you right to Cardiff Castle, and then onto the city centre. We don’t always bother going as far though as Pontcanna itself is lovely and self-contained. The Cartws is on a back lane and is super quiet, so we always sleep well. Will defo be back.
