In a picturesque setting despite unusual flooding, Vanessa’s smaller gite which we stayed in for a week was clean, quiet and with a very comfortable bed. Vanessa gave us an alternative access route during the flooding and was quick to replace a suddenly leaky bathroom tap. Taller adults need to take care upstairs as the ceiling is slanted and there is a heavy beam that can be painful if you’ve not remembered to bend for it! The steps up to the bedroom could be improved as they are very steep, narrow and some boards are not very secure. They are really more of a rustic ladder. The kitchen is well equipped, the bathroom is fine for two people with a good shower. The heating worked ok too. Overall, we would recommend and may return to try one of the larger gites in the summer to make the most of garden & terrace space.

Vanessa’s listing is an excellent place to relax. The listing is located next to the castle. We can freely use the large garden. Vanessa is very friendly and helpful despite the language barrier.

Nous avons passé un court mais très agréable séjour. L’accueil y fut chaleureux. Le logement est beau, fonctionnel et correspond au descriptif Petite attention sympathique de Vanessa en nous détaillant les alentours et petits coins à visiter. Parfait pour se reposer ou visiter la Charente.

Logement très bien équipé, au calme sur la propriété magnifique de Vanessa et sa petite famille. Une hôte discrète, réactive et aux ptits soins. Je recommande vivement.
