Hi I'm Liesje! My first name is Dutch and can be pronounced "Leesha", to make it easy :) I am a Project Manager at Johnson & Johnson and I am currently working in Consumer Medical Device and Supply Chain, with previous experience at J&J and Merck in the Pharmaceutical sector. I love to travel and try to take several domestic trips and at least 1 international trip each year, so I love to hear where guests are from, where they have traveled to, and where they are planning to travel to next! I grew up in Southern New Jersey, very close to the Jersey Shore, and spent summers with my family going to the Wildwoods! My father was a beach life guard and met my mom down the Shore. Our extended family has grown up spending summers on the island and at the beach which was a huge part of enjoying everything that the Wildwoods has to offer. Now I have a beautiful property at the Shore that I would love to share with you. I can also share extensive recommendations of great things to see and do during your visit to the Shore! If you are interested, I can offer great suggestions on restaurants, beach options, water activities, night life, live music and entertainment, as well as local wineries, breweries and distilleries. Additionally, there's extensive options for water parks, amusement rides and games and delicious boardwalk treats including funnel cake, ice cream, fudge, water taffy's and water ice! There's also great options for bike rides, nature walks, bird sanctuaries and wildlife exploration. If you are looking more to explore the birthplace of our nation in Philadelphia, I have lived in the Art Museum/ Fairmount neighborhood of Philadelphia for 10+ years and I absolutely adore the neighborhood and I am happy and proud to share it with you! I love to be active and outdoors, and I love to run Kelly Drive, or bike the Schuylkhill River Trail, play tennis in East Fairmount Park and row for my J&J Crew Team out of Fairmount Boathouse on Boathouse Row. In the summer, I like to participate in Sprint Triathlons down the shore, near where I grew up in Southern NJ. I have also lived in the PA suburbs near King of Prussia and Valley Forge Park, so I can recommend historical and cultural suburban adventures in the PA and NJ burbs too. If you are interested I can make great recommendations on outdoor activities on Kelly Drive, Boathouse Row, East and West Fairmount Park, as well as the Philadelphia Art Museum, the Barnes Foundation, the Mann Music Center, and tons of restaurants and activities around Philadelphia. It will be my pleasure to host you and I look forward to sharing the cozy, residential Fairmount neighborhood and the great city of Philadelphia with you! In 2019 and 2020, I visited Belgium and Croatia including Split, Hvar, Miljet, Pula, and Zagreb. In 2018, I had traveled to northern and western Belgium, west coast of Ireland, Shanghai and Hangzhou-China, as well as Madrid and Barcelona- Spain. In 2017, I visited Moscow and St. Petersburg- Russia, Athens and Santorini- Greece and sailed the local Greek islands, as well as Puerta Vallarta- Mexico, San Diego- CA, Norfolk-VA, and Lexington-NC for the total solar eclipse. My dream trips that I still have to plan include Egypt, Belize, Bora Bora, Maldives and Dubrovnik- Croatia.
