The cottage at South Lyon was just as advertised a quiet spot to unwind. Everything at the house was perfect for a family weekend by the lake. Only 10 minutes from the town of South Lyon. Mike was very flexible with the check in/out process. We will definitely recommend his place.

We stayed here for our families first Thanksgiving on the road. We picked this place seeing it was in between Ann Arbor and Lansing. The place was super clean and accommodated 6 of us along with being able to enjoy a wonderful meal and have time to relax as a family. Really looking forward to booking this location during the summer seeing the lake and location is beautiful.

Great stay. Comfy. Spacious. Convenient location. Great outdoor space. Only improvements - hair dryer and toaster would’ve been nice.

We enjoyed this peaceful property so much! The lake and canals were perfect for kayaking. The layout of the house made it perfect for gathering. We did find the cleanliness to be an area to be improved. The beds and couch were comfy and the dining table was large and seated our whole family. Some of the chairs were broken and wobbly so we sat with caution. We also wished there was more light in the dining room as there was no direct light in that room after dark. We would definitely stay here again and Mike was a wonderful host.

Suited myself and my family perfectly. "Lake Life" for sure, complete with usable (safe, clean) kayaks, paddles and life jackets. Well outfitted kitchen and rooms had an open feel. A few family members came and we did a nice cookout with the provided grill and utensils. Would have liked to stay longer than five nights but it was a lovely place to come back to between family events. Communication with Mike and his daughter was open and easy. She met us at the house and gave us a tour and an opportunity to ask any questions.
