The earliest reference to Hodroyd is in 1144 and the Hall is steeped in history from its days as a monastic building, to the country seat of the Monckton family, Today, it is once again a family home and offers a unique combination of country house tradition with the informality of family life. The Berrie Suite is named after the strawberries that were grown on site in the 1640’s - the earliest recorded cultivation in Yorkshire! The outside of the property offers guests a courtyard area to enjoy the Summer sun and a landscaped garden to relax in. You can’t fail to enjoy your stay at Hodroyd Hall, as everything is on your door step whether you want activities, entertainment, retail, countryside, or culture.
