I loved Laura's home... had a great relaxing time and would recommend it in a heartbeat. Responsive hosts. I loved the historical feel of the space, cozy and quaint antique decor, the Italian country dining room was beyond adorable. the comfy mattresses and bedding, the heating lamps in the bathrooms, 3 electric stoves and fireplaces for extra coziness, 2 bathtubs for bathing, the hammock and outdoor space and most of all the star of the show ...the River! I so appreciated that they allow pets, the town of Bantam is in walking distance with a great market and a neat thrift Shop (Clothes Tree) and delicious Greek-style Bantam Pizza...plenty of parking for guests. 3 floors offer privacy for all. Wifi can be spotty, so a mobile hotspot is recommended or maybe disconnect from the screens and listen to the river :)
The house was cozy with lots of beds. The hosts were very responsive, flexible, and helpful. The house is quaint but had everything needed. Since it is an older house, there can be some quirks, like the front door getting stuck, but we were able to use the side door easily enough. The internet was very spotty, however, so if you need that for communication or other, then understand the limitations. If internet is not a priority, then it works mostly. Close to shops, restaurants, cafe, bakery, and other.
Beautiful location . Heritage cottage. On the flowing Bantam river, was very soothing. Loved the old cottage feel.. Had everything we wanted and then some. I will be back summertime to enjoy the outdoors !! Laura and Steve were wonderful and attentive.
Wonderful and charming place located perfectly in the heart of CT! Surrounded by food, wine, history and nature! Very well equipped with all the comforts of home. Our pups loved playing in the expansive yard and running along the river bank! We enjoyed talking with Laura, the owner who is an excellent and welcoming host!
Comfortable rental and great location to connect with family and friends in the area.
