This was my family’s second stay at Joelle’s cottage. After our stay in 2022 we couldn’t wait to get back for another memorable summer holiday on beautiful Mazinaw lake. This year there were 8 of us, and there was plenty of room for us all to have a comfortable stay. The cottage is very well equipped with everything you will need for your stay and more! The location is stunning, with beautiful vistas across the lake towards Bon Echo rock. Excellent lake for swimming, boating, fishing and all other forms of water sports. Bon Echo park is nearby, with great beaches, hiking trails, etc. Joelle is great to work with and goes above and beyond to ensure her guests have a great stay at her place. I highly recommend this cottage and am already looking forward to booking again next summer!!

We have been going to a family cottage on Lake Mazinaw for years. We used Joelle’s place for overflow accommodation to facilitate a family reunion. It all worked perfectly. The cottage seemed well-appointed and the location, with a view of Bon Echo Rock, is beautiful.

We really appreciated Joelle's responsiveness, attention to detail, and the efforts she took to ensure we had a great stay. The cottage was very well-cleaned for our arrival. The property is in an excellent location on a beautiful lake, with amazing views that put smiles on our faces as soon as we arrived. The kitchen was well-stocked. The cottage had many games, books, and toys to keep us entertained when the weather kept us inside. One drawback was the need to dispose our own trash and recycling (instructions and a pass were provided for nearby landfills). The lack of A/C was another, particularly for the upstairs rooms, as we did have a couple of pretty warm nights. Also important to note that you need to bring your own linens and towels. Overall, we had a memorable experience. The cottage is clearly a well-loved, well-cared-for second family home. It was a cozy and welcoming place to get away from the city and enjoy nature for a few days. Thanks Joelle!

I stayed here for a week in August 2022, with my mom and my 4 kids and had a great holiday. Beautiful location, beautiful view. Lots to do, good fishing, swimming and the kayaks provided were fun. The proximity to Bon Echo Provincial Park was a bonus, which had beautiful beaches and swimming areas. The cottage was large and very comfortable, with a classic rustic cottage feel, with all the comforts and amenities of home. It easily accommodated the six of us, with room for an even larger group to stay comfortably. There were countless board games provided that made for fun on evenings and rainy days. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you could ever need to prepare your favourite cottage meals, and the Weber BBQ made grilling a pleasure. The public boat launch was close by which was very handy too. We had a wonderful holiday and I can’t say enough good things about the host Joelle, who was very responsive, accommodating, and went above and beyond in making our stay a good one. We are hoping to return next year.
