Kara’s place is truly special! The property is beautiful and peaceful and the view is spectacular. The house was clearly lovingly put together and has so many nice details that make it cozy while still feeling open and modern. We had a relaxing weekend reading books on the deck and taking short hikes on the nearby trails— it’s definitely a perfect place to get away from it all!

I can’t possibly say how incredible of an experience Kara’s home was. Unbelievably beautiful, peaceful, warm and thoughtful home and location and Kara went above and beyond to make us feel at home, welcome, and cared for. This experience will absolutely stay with me and I am so grateful for it and Kara!!!

Kara’s place was frankly the most beautiful property that we have ever stayed at: quality of the cabin, decorations and personal touches, amenities, peacefulness, & amazing view! The location is high up on Guemes Mountain. It isn’t the easiest to get to, but we had no problem with Kara’s detailed instructions. The property is remote and peaceful, so it was great for us to have a relaxing trip. There isn’t much on the island, but we packed groceries so we had most everything that we needed. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook & some extras (local ice cream novelties). The cabin itself was the perfect size for 2, & it was beautifully renovated (amazing woodwork, concrete counters, functional kitchen, attention to details) & nicely decorated. The property was amazing (pictures can’t do justice to the views) and we spent most of our time on the deck, in the sauna or in the gym. Kara was a great host who showed us around & gave great tips. We will be for another restful trip!

Kara is a wonderful host - kind, responsive, helpful and connective. The property exceeded my expectations. It was so private and beautiful and I would describe the decorations as eclectic/cozy. I loved exploring the little island and ended my visit with an in-house massage from someone Kara recommended. It was all perfect - wish I could have stayed another day or two!
