Ben’s place was immaculate. The house was warm and welcoming and the personal touches of the house made us feel at home. The book left providing things to do and places to eat and drink was a lovely touch, and helped us a great deal being out of area. Ben has been a really attentive host making sure we got in to the house fine and had a lovely stay. Was a perfect weekend away.

Some good and some not so good. Clean, warm and the kitchen was reasonably well equipped. Is only about half an hours walk into the town centre and it’s a really pretty walk. Architecture and parks are beautiful. Lots of lovely places to eat. Great dog walks and vibrant town. House is situated on a not very pretty housing estate but it’s really quiet. Always got parking however not always outside the house. Also as advertised as a luxury property I expected some luxury. The furniture and bedding is basic. TV in longe drops in and out of signal. TV in bedroom doesn’t work. When I messaged the host about it, I didn’t receive a response for the rest of the week. The bedrooms have numbers on and Yale locks which has a bed sit feel. The shower has a shower curtain.. The front door can’t be locked and it’s the middle door that locks so it has a camera inside and outside which feels a bit invasive. Pets not allowed upstairs’ but no doors so next to impossible to keep them downstairs

This was our favorite stay of our two week trip and booked last minute due to safety concerns in an other town. Ben was a great host, the home was spotless. Cannot recommend this home enough!

The place was located in a housing complex which was not what I was expecting. However it was very quiet with no noise from the neighbours, children, or traffic. It was beautifully decorated downstairs with plenty of space to sit. The outside area was also lovely. There was an ant problem but the cleaners sorted this out. Although Ben responded promptly to my queries and organised the cleaners to come round, some of his responses were overly defensive and unhelpful. His suggestion of getting on a chair to access a remote did not taking into account safety issues especially if guests are elderly/disabled or not agile and cleaning the crumbs in the kitchen when we were paying guests was an unexpected response to say the least. However overall a lovely stay despite the ant problem.
