Good communication, really nice place on the interior (kitchen/living space). Not entirely private, there were people below us bringing things in and out. Bedding did not appear to be washed and the alternative sheets were not fresh. Outdoor area does not match the pictures, the patio area is quite run down/not maintained. Overall does not live up to the pictures and does not feel remote/secluded.

Mark communicated with clear instructions. We had no trouble finding the place and getting inside. The cabin is more like a home in a culdesac, but the property is impressive, and very inviting. The place was clean and organized. The view of the river is very pretty. Definitely enjoyed our stay! A few cons: 1) Trouble sleeping due to additional occupants located upstairs. We could hear their movements very clearly as our bedroom was located below the loft adjacent to the upstairs room. The bedroom doors are thin and slide closed. The other room has similar doors facing the living room we had, so there wasn't much soundproofing. 2) We had two decks at our disposal, but the yard and access to the river were off-limits due to additional tenants on the property. We did know this going in because Mark is very clear about it in the listing. 3) A small note: Our towels smelled like the rubber underside of a bath mat. Maybe they were washed together, but the smell was obvious.

The home is at a beautiful location and the view of the river was amazing. There are a few trails around the home that are easily accessible. We recommend the waterfall trail, but beware that it is not very well marked. The home has some interesting amenities like the tub, fireplace and extra bathroom. The host was very responsive to all our questions. Note this is not an entire home that you get, you have a downstairs neighbor and an upstairs neighbor that you're sharing the home with. You each have your own area, and you do not get access to other areas of the property, except the Zen Garden. Overall, the unit was not as clean as we were expecting given the high cleaning fee as we found stains, an unflushed toilet and contact lenses on the night stand.

Great place to hide from the world from a couple of days - but also very close to the city. It's not easy to find a location that is pet friendly and so nice like this one. Will definitely come back soon.
