The location, amenities, and host were fantastic. It is so close to the train and was very spacious. However, as a family of 4 (2 kids, 2 adults) from America this home was not the best option for us. Our struggle was with 2 major things. One, the stairs are so steep it is like climbing a ladder. With 2 small kids this is a serious hazard. We were so afraid of them falling at night that we pushed the extra bed in front of the door to make sure they woke us up to go potty. Second, the beds are horribly hard. They look so fluffy and cozy in the pics, but I'm laying in then gave my husband and I the worst nights of sleep we got in our whole two week trip. The pillows were small and there were not a lot of them to spread out. I share this as a heads up to families considering this home. If the 2 things, I mentioned are not an issue for you, this Airbnb is awesome.

Akane's place was fantastic. The area is very close to the train station and easy to access. Super great location for Kyoto! I found the beds to be too hard for me, but Akane was so helpful to let us use some of the extra bedding to help make it a softer, and there were no issues at all. 5/5, would reccomend for anyone to stay. Make sure to bring Yen with you, as many of the surrounding restaurants do not accept credit card ! (but ATM is available in the convienance stores!) Thank you very much Akane!

Thank you Akane for a wonderful stay. It was home away from home and so convenient with the train station around the corner. Great for families with a separate bedroom for our teenage daughter. Great to have the washing machine on the property as well. I will highly recommend this property.

great quiet spot close to kyoto station and only 3 stops from downtown kyoto, very clean and comfortable, overall a great stay.
