Our 2-night stay at the church was lovely! The building itself is quite beautiful and has a lot of charm. The listing description does not emphasize enough the intricacies of the dated plumbing system. The water tank makes a loud noise after flushing, using the taps or showering. The toilet became clogged on day 1 of our 2 day stay and we were provided with a plunger There were also only 2 towels provided, and the kitchen was barely stocked for cooking needs, so we needed to go buy things like aluminium foil and salt It's a sweet little church house in a stunning location and we still had a great time! But be aware of the various issues and pack accordingly!
We thank Tasha for the use of this property for our stay, we had a pleasant visit and very much enjoyed the porches overlooking the water. Overall, our stay as a group of 4 was OK. The beds were very comfortable, but it is really a one bedroom + loft (this is apparent from the photos, but less obvious in the listing description). As others stated, the kitchen appliances (stove top, oven) are quite dated, and do not provide uniform heating for the limited cooking we were inclined to do. Noise from the flush toilet and the shower was beyond what we expected, even recognizing that it is a historic property. Broadly this fits into our feeling that the systems were less updated than what we understood from the description. We stayed during a heat wave and thankfully could get a cross breeze with windows and doors open, but the highway out front was noisy through the night.
The former church is beautiful and nicely appointed. It is close to Lunenburg with all its sights and activities. Bridgewater is only a few minutes away for grocery shopping. Tasha was very helpful and responded quickly to any requests.

Such a gem! The communication with Tasha was great and the place is amazing and have everything you need! Also the bed is soooo comfortable
