The Villa is located in Kariat Arekmane, a picturesque and calm village on the south shoreline of the Mediterranean Sea, very far from city related stress and pollution. You will be able to enjoy the clear blue waters of the Mediterranean and its extensive coastline, dotted with historic cities and stunning beaches. Located to the North West of Kariat Arekmane you can also find the Mar Chica, a unique lagoon that provides a very rich ecosystem to the region. The Mar Chica provides a habitat for many species of migratory birds, fish, and other wildlife. This makes the location of our Villa perfect for a wide range of activities, from birdwatching to scuba diving or canoeing in the Mar Chica! If you are passionate about wildlife, these are examples of species you can expect to encounter: wild pink Flamingoes, beautiful Spotted Redshanks, Black-winged Stilts, the cute Kentish Plover, Eurasian Spoonbills with their uniquely shaped beak, tenacious birds of prey like the Marsh Harrier, and more! If you are into diving, you can also expect to encounter a wide range of fish species, dolphins and sea turtles! If you are not a sea lover, keep in mind that Kariat Arekmane village is also surrounded by mountains too! Did we mention the food in the region is delicious? Well, come and try it for yourself, we especially recommend seafood, a specialty of the region. You are welcome to Kariat Arekmane to experience all this yourself! Bonus: if you are travelling to Kariat Arekmane from Nador you will have to go through Bouarg, an agricultural area. While travelling you will most likely notice a distinct, fruity aroma that is slightly grassy and super pleasant, that is the smell of fresh olives being cold pressed to make one of the region's best olive oil! We recommend that you travel with a car or SUV, but if that is not an option for you, there are many means of public transport to get around, like buses or white cabs, both options are also very affordable and most importantly, eco friendly! If you want to experience the Mar Chica and Mediterranean sea to their full extent, we recommend that you travel with an SUV. You can also bring an inflatable boat, with or without motor, or a canoe to visit different spots in the Mar Chica. Silent means of transport like a canoe are ideal for birdwatching, since it doesn't scare off the birds!
