Gather with the family and enjoy the peaceful relaxation of the Cabin on the Bluff, centralized location to everything that Northeast Iowa has to offer. Country living, 5 minutes to downtown Elkader, one minute to Turkey River Recreation area, 1 minute to City Park. We currently have two large bedrooms with a king and queen in each space and smart TVs in each room. We have a twin bed and two couches. Fully stocked kitchen with toaster, waffle maker, pots, pans, plates, cups, bowls, popcorn popper, oven, microwave, and refrigerator. We also have a dishwasher and garbage disposal. Full coffee bar with a standard coffee maker and Keurig. Harvest Table for 8 fills our dining room and a cozy porch out front. In regards to a recent review, the cabin is a country home in Elkader, not a luxury villa. It has been abnormally warm in the area and we sometimes will have a boxelder bug or beetle trying to find their way in. We have the cabin professionally treated twice a year and do our own as needed. The hot tub is located in the best spot for us to provide a view and relaxation. It is treated after guests leave and cleaned, my husband is certified in pools and spas so we take this seriously. We do not hide that we have a shared driveway. The neighbor's garage is facing our shared drive and his yard is facing on the opposite side of the property. He also has windows in his home and I can guarantee that he is not interested in staring at anyone in the hot tub and neither are we. The cemetery is across the street, I guarantee that they are very quiet. I hope people look past the review and if we aren't the place for you, we understand. I try to provide the best hospitality and if the guest would have had any concerns, I would have thought he would contact me, but unfortunately, that did not happen. Part of the cabin has been there for 100 years plus and is an old railroad car with an additions added on. It is cozy, homey, and set up for you to enjoy your time there.
