Javier’s surf shack was great! It was exactly as described. It’s a small room with a bathroom, clean and perfect for one person. I personally LOVED the outdoor kitchen and deck - that’s the star of the show. And having access to the pool was a wonderful added bonus. Two things I will note. The location is nice and really not far from things, but to get to the location you will need to go up a hill. Second, the bed doesn’t have a mosquito net, so if you’re like me and love to sleep with the windows open, that’s not really an option. The room does come with a fan though and makes the room very comfortable to sleep in at night. The five stars is also for Javier as a host. He’s very friendly and responsive, and he’ll do his best to provide you with what you need. For my stay he provided brand new pots and pans, a big thing of drinking water with a dispenser, and some mosquito repellent. I felt very much at home and would absolutely book Javier’s place again!

Javier and his wife are great, friendly hosts. The place looks exactly like the pictures. It is an amazing place to hear and see wildlife -- howler monkeys, agutis, horses next door, sloths, lizards, birds -- literally all seen while on the property. It's a tiny home, so you'll be spending most of your time outside in the elements. I'd recommend taking Margarita Rd to Calle Berto to the property, not Calle Ole Caribe. First route has much smoother roads. I'd also recommend an SUV or truck over a sedan if you have a rental car. This place is great for a few nights stay on a budget.

Die Unterkunft konnte nur mit einem Fahrrad erreicht werden, aber das wurde vom Gastgeber kostenfrei zur Verfügung gestellt. Insgesamt war die Unterlunft sowie das Anwesen eher unordentlich und leicht schmuddelig. Auf bestimmte Wünsche hat der Gatsgeber leider gar nicht oder nur sehr mürrisch reagiert. Ich würde diese Unterkunft nicht noch einmal buchen und habe sie auch 2 Tage früher verlassen als gebucht.
