Rosetta Cafe is a short walk to the left out the front door.
Raumati Social Club and Sunday Cantina (great eateries) are a 10 minute walk to the right along Rosetta road and then turn left.
You will find a small grocery shop and fish and chip shop as well.
Raumati Social Club often has live music Friday and Saturday nights with local and Wellington bands .
Further afield are the Raumati Village Shops (a good pre-loved clothing store and local craft shop). This is on Raumati road (a 5 minute drive).
Paraparumu shops, theatre, supermarket etc. is a 10minute drive north.
Numerous other attractions in the region are the Tuatara Craft Brewery and the Kapati Chocolate Factory.
Lots of local walks along waterway lagoon and surrounding hills including the Escarpment Walk.
Lastly, the biggest attraction of all is the beach and Kapiti Island.
Beach access is walkable in both directions but the closest is out the gate and 2 minutes walk to the right where there is a little reserve where sunsets are amazing to view.
Swimming is great too but be mindful, it’s the Tasman Sea out there and can be rough in a westerly.
Kapiti Island is a bird sanctuary so is predator free. Contact tour operators which leave from Paraparumu beach.

Train service to Wellington is close by car and on bus route ( on Rosetta rd) if needed.
