Great home, great staff, great amount of space. Safe neighborhood, very rural setting. Be sure to utilize the marina for a boat ride to the ocean (10 min from the marina). We drove to Baru and while beautiful, it was super stressful.

Juan is a fantastic host, through multiple airbnb rentals we experienced he's by far the quickest to respond. We asked many questions and he was always quick and friendly. The place is great, house staff is friendly. Great secured location. One tip for first timer in Baru, avoid Playa Blanca, or if you do go, plan ahead and don't listen to any local at the beach, even those who seems friendly. Also, ask prices before ordering. There is a private beach on the premise or there are really nice small hotel on the bay side with great restaurants and super friendly people (highly recommend a diner at Manglares). They can connect you with honest locals who can bring you to unique snorkeling spots. All in all, thank you Juan!

Juan’s place was just perfect! My family and I really enjoyed the beautiful house. Very safe, close to nature and sea! We highly recommend this place!

The house is perfect for a staycation: Lovely rooms and living area, great private pool, and wonderful staff to clean and cook for you. There's not a lot to do around the area, but the Marina Restaurant is a short walk away and the food there is fantastic (eat fish!). We were there on a local holiday, so the restaurant was closed for 2 of the 3 nights we were there. However, they had food and water delivered to us one night and the house staff cooked a fabulous breakfast for us one morning. It's easy to arrange for a boat to pick you up from the marina and take you to Bora and the islands (highly recommend). Juan was always responsive to any questions we had and is a great resource for anything you need. One word of advice: If you want to eat somewhere else, go to the nearby town and eat in the little local restaurant there, don't bother with the Sofitel.
