Had a wonderful stay here over the Easter holidays. It’s a cosy chalet with a sea view and access to a wonderful indoor pool and gym (I think for an extra fee) that my kids adored. The chalet is just as described. It’s very well equipped in the kitchen and with games. The shower, beds, heating, hot water are all good. Shaldon itself is very quaint… the little zoo is really well laid out considering its small size. I’d highly recommend if you have kids with you. Also, zoo tickets get you 15% off at the Ness Pub just down the road which is fab. Everyone we met- staff at the pool, at Ness, at the zoo, and walking in the botanical gardens- were lovely. It’s a great little community. Nigel was a terrific host- friendly and communicative right from the start. Provided really clear instructions to access and use the chalet and local recommendations. We’d definitely stay here again… the patio is huge and would be glorious in the sunshine! Thanks Nigel!

Great view out to sea. Bucket and Spade café on site does great food.

we stayed at Nigels place for 6 nights, communication before we arrived was great and the written information was easy to understand and very helpful. It was a great sized lodge for the 2 of us, especially with the fantastic outside space with to die for sea views, the egg chairs were so comfortable, we made full use of these whilst having a glass or 2 of wine in the evening's. There is everything you need for a comfortable stay, and the nearby pub the Bucket and spade has a great menu. The local 22 bus stops right outside the park entrance every hour, we made use when returning from Teinmouth so as to avoid the climb back up the hill! We wouldn't hesitate to book another stay at Nigels Lodge, we had a great time, lots to do in the area and plenty of nice pubs and eateries nearby.

Fantastic sea views. Home was very comfortable and well equipped. Decking furniture was very comfortable and sun on it from dawn till dusk; so all meals eaten outside. Short walk down to Shaldon was very pleasant. We were lucky enough to have some of the best weather of this summer. Dogs also loved it. Nigel was very quick to a broken shower sorted out. Thoroughly recommend and will go again.
