We just came home from our 2nd stay at Raechel's cottage. This has become an annual trip for us that my group of friends and the dogs really look forward to. The cottage is beautiful and well-equipped, with a really great spacious layout that means that even with big groups, everyone can be doing their own thing and noise does not travel. We were spoiled by the hot tub, the vast frozen lake, and the TVs in every room (which we did not use). Our friend who is a chef came with us this time to cook, and the amount of kitchen equipment surprised us. Raechel is SUPER responsive and helpful at all times and always flexible within reason with arrangements. Check in/ checkout is super easy, although there is some cleaning work required for the guest such as removing all of the trash from the property upon check out. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to be back year after year. Thank you!

The house is beautifully decorated and clean. The location was just as we expected. However we were disappointed about the garbage and the recycling removal. Also, the hot tub was not functioning properly. Lastly, we had a family gathering with 14 people and by the end of the second day, we had no water, no flushing toilets, no dish washer…Unfortunately, we did not hear from the host about compensation of any kind after many emails and phone messages. We can not recommend this property.

Beautifully modern and tastefully-decorated house. The bedrooms were laid out to afford privacy (the master as well as the private main floor room on its own). Bunk rooms were a thoughtful addition. Kitchen was pristine and well-equipped. Everything was modern and bright. Property was faultless - even on wet days in mid-December it was a sunrise gem on a beautiful point on a lake. Our family will definitely re-book!

The cottage was superb and exceeded our expectations! It easily accommodated our party of 14 adults to celebrate a milestone birthday. The place was fantastic and was clean and luxurious. There were enough bedrooms and bathrooms, large kitchen, spacious dining space and cozy large living room - our large group did not feel crowded at all. The outdoor and views over the lake were phenomenal. Hot tub and fire pit were an added bonus, which we enjoyed. The cottage is at the end of the road and encompasses small peninsula with 180 degrees lake view - it felt very private. We had enough parking for 7 cars and did some gorgeous hikes in the nearby Kawartha Highlands Park and visited Doube’s Trestle bridge at Trans Canada trail (10 min away). The cottage was very close to grocery shops and necessities. The host Raechel was very responsive and went above and beyond to accommodate us and to make our stay memorable. Definitely a 10/10 experience. We highly recommend this place.
