My biggest disappointment was that we hadn't booked for more than 2 nights! Mike was a great host with lots of hints and very friendly. As others have said, the photos do not do the house justice. Very spacious, great kitchen, brilliant outdoor space to sit and enjoy braai-ing. The giraffes, zebra and warthog were just an added bonus on the stay!

A clean and spacious house in a peaceful area. Great place to relax, watch some wildlife, and hike/cycle. Also family friendly. We got to see some giraffes, zebras, antelope and bushpigs. The best part was Mike as a host, he was very responsive, helpful and als provided recommendations. Definitely a favourite in my books

Mike has been an absolute competent host. He was responsive, and communicated with us throughout our journey. We appreciated his caring nature and his hospitality as we were greated by ice cold refreshments (most welcomed after our more than four-hour trip). The Wild Fig truly was our home away from home. It is tranquil, easily accessible, and a natural beauty ... the kiss of the golden sun on the mountain tops and animals roaming free on the estate, made us feel one with nature. A gem away from the huzzle and buzzle of city life.
