Can't fault our stay at all. Such a beautiful and quiet place to be surrounded by nature. Everything as described on the listing; you wont need to pack much for a short stay. We made ample use of the kitchen and bbq facilities, as well as the interior log burner and the wood fired hot tub. We were left enough firewood for the first night with the hot tub, log burner and firepit, and were able to easily pick up some more from the welcome barn (for a small cost) for the second night. Freebies included were a nice touch. Including all that you need to make 'smores on the firepit! Plenty of tea and ground coffee. And of course summerdowns own peppermint and camomile teas! The outside area offers great seating for both dining and lounging, with great unspoiled views of nature. There is also ample privacy from the other shepherds huts, with a wicker fence around the hot tub. Lovely walks around the area, and wildlife right outside the hut Would deffo stay again!

Beautiful location and stunning scenery. Shepherd hut is excellent. Very cosy and finished to a high standard. Hot tub was excellent and very clean. Check in and out very easy, great communication from host Laura. Would highly recommend as we had a fantastic 3 night stay. Thank you Laura and we look forward to coming back again.

Overall our stay with Laura was amazing. As a host, she was very friendly, inviting and attentive. She also responded quickly to any messages or questions that I had for her. Myself and my mum had trouble getting the fire started so Laura came out to start it for us which was so helpful as we were then able to use the hot tub. There were a few little things that should be noted, however. We were told the wrong key code for the lock box which meant that we were trying to get into it with the wrong code. I also didn’t have service there so it meant we had to drive to find service so I could contact her and tell her we couldn’t get into the box. We then got told that the code was wrong and given another which worked. Luckily, we had petrol and our phones were charged so we were able to call Laura. The door was then also quite stiff to open and wouldn’t budge as the wood had swelled from the rain. Again, we weren’t told about this or pre warned so we had to travel again to call her.
