A Million Stars and No Cars! Studio Retreat in our barn with a private patio and propane grill. Excellent WiFi and a full gym. Horses, cows and who knows what else! Fresh air, no crowds, lots of local trails. Wineries, glider rides, backcountry restaurants, Stagecoach Bar and Grill, Don’s Market, horse back riding, La Jolla Zipline and Elim Hot Springs nearby. Elevation: 4200'; sunny days and cool nights. Bring your personal devices and your groceries and have a great, peaceful get away. Whether you're in the mood for a country wine tasting trip and a glider ride, touring local crafters, hiking, mountain biking or just retreating from the noise and bustle of the city and burbs, the Lazy Y has just the get away for you. Our cozy, quiet, air conditioned retreat is on a 10 acre ranch adjacent to the California Riding and Hiking Trail. The almost fully equipped kitchen has microwave, refrigerator, hot plate and coffee maker, toaster oven and the private patio has a gas grill with burner. Continental breakfast provided in your studio. Daily maid service is available for an additional fee. Retreat from the city. Enjoy miles of local trails on foot, horseback, or mountain bike. Horse stalls and trailer parking are available. The local vineyards specialize in grapes grown above 3500'. Visit local boutique wineries, private art studios and restaurants; boating, fishing and glider rides are nearby. Half hour to world class Temecula Valley Wine Country and 40 min to Julian. After a full day of wandering the hills, return to your air conditioned studio for a soak in the roomy, tiled, sit down shower. The Lazy Y is located at approximately 4200' above sea level. We get all four seasons. If you time your stay right, you might wake up to a white, winter morning, or run for cover in a summer thunderstorm. The leaves turn colors in the fall, and the wildflowers bloom in the Spring. You may even have a midnight serenade from "Los Coyotes" -- all under the watchful eyes of our 24 hour security provided by Vultures, Inc. A unique farm stay in the mountains. The barn suite was small, but well-appointed. Really appreciated the use of the barbecue in the evening when we arrived and the pancake mix the next morning for breakfast! Made friends with the horses and the little bull. Kimberley was very pleasant to deal with.
We had a great stay! The animals were very cute and friendly and definitely a highlight. The property is really cool too
Superb! We are on holiday from the UK and wanted a peaceful ranch style stay! It's amazing and such good value for money. The barn was comfy, warm and cosy. We had a lovely private patio and BBQ and we could watch the horses Bucky and Roger and all the cows and wildlife! We took supplies so were well stocked up! We even had an air fryer! The bed was so comfy and the shower hot! Temecula is a 30 minute beautiful drive and has every choice of shop which was great. We took our own fire stick which was great for viewing our favourite series. Such a wonderful experience! Thank you Kimberley and Dale for sharing it!

This is my second time back and I’m absolutely in love with this place. It’s very serene, quiet private definitely if you need some R&R this is a place for you I recommend, and the host are always very polite and responsive will be coming back for sure.

Our valley is primarily residential agriculture. Neighbors have between 5 and 80 acres. As you walk down the road you'll see horses, goats, camels, llamas, apples, cattle, ostriches and Buddha! Nearby: Warner Springs Ranch Horseback riding.l. Glider rides and golf; Elim Hot Springs Resort: La Jolla Indian Zip Line and river tubing.
There is no public transportation. Bring your bike to ride around the valley.

Dale is a livestock consultant and cattle rancher, and Kimberley is a health and fitness coach. Kimberley enjoys Clean Cooking and Slow Foods -- ranch raised meat and locally produced vegetables. Lazy Y Ranch raises, buys and sells cattle for 4-H and FFA students. We enjoy wine tasting, gourmet food, dancing, local hiking and trail riding.
